Steps to get your real estate license in Kansas:

  1. Enroll at The CE Shop 30-hour Pre-Examination & 30-hour Kansas Real Estate Practice Course
  2. Obtain Fingerprints & Complete Background Check: Fill out and print the Fingerprint Waiver Form (Form No. REL-150) available on KREC: http://krec.ks.gov/. Send your fingerprints to Kansas Real Estate Commission, Jayhawk Tower, 700 SW Jackson St., Ste 404, Topeka, KS 66603-3785. Note that fingerprints are valid for only six months.
  3. Schedule and Pass National and State Exam: Call Pearson VUE at 1.800.274.4971 for an appointment or schedule online at http://pearsonvue.com/ks/realestate/. You can take the exam before or after the practice course. Remember to bring your passing Pre-Examination Certificate to the testing center
  4. Schedule an interview appointment with Sellstate and Apply for License: Ensure classes, fingerprints, and the test are completed before applying for your license. You have six months to apply after completing the Kansas Real Estate Practice Course.

To Obtain Your Dual License: Kansas and Missouri issue licenses to REALTORS who first obtain a license in their state of residence. The process for obtaining a license in your non-resident state involves applying for and receiving Certification of Good Standing from your home state, passing the state portion of the exam, completing the state's Practice Course (30 hours in KS, 24 hours in MO), submitting a license application, and paying a fee.   2. Obtain Fingerprints with IDEMIA/IdentoGo & Complete Background Check: Register with MACHS at http://machs.mo.gov and use MREC’s registration code 0004. Submit a copy of the MACHS receipt with your license application.
  3. Sign up for the National and State exam snd pass: https://test-takers.psiexams.com/MORE. Create an account, select the MO Salesperson Examination
  4. Schedule an interview appointment with Sellstate and Apply for License: Ensure classes, fingerprints, and the test are completed before applying for your license. You have six months to apply after completing the Kansas Real Estate Practice Course
